Terminating your membership with Installatörsföretagen
Four important things to consider when ending your membership
Below, we list important information you need to be aware of before requesting to withdraw from Installatörsföretagen.
1. Notice Period
We always confirm the termination with a letter or email, depending on how we received the application. In the letter, we always state the date when the membership ceases.
According to Paragraph 28 of Installatörsföretagen's statutes, the membership ceases at the full or half-year shift that occurs six months after the written termination has been received by Installatörsföretagen. This means that if the termination is received by Installatörsföretagen between January 1 and June 30, the withdrawal date will be December 31 of the current year. If the termination is received by Installatörsföretagen between July 1 and December 31, the withdrawal date will be June 30 of the following year.
2. Collective Agreements
Those who have been bound by collective agreements remain bound during the remaining term of the collective agreements even after leaving the association. If the company wishes to free itself from the collective agreements, the company should therefore terminate the agreement with the respective trade union at least 3 months before the agreement expires. The last date for current collective agreements is always communicated via the letter sent as confirmation that the withdrawal has been completed.
3. Fora Insurance
After the contract period for the collective agreements has expired, you need to terminate the insurance with FORA yourself. https://www.fora.se/

After the contract period for the collective agreements has expired, you need to terminate the insurance with Collectum yourself. https://collectum.se/
5. Use of Installatörsföretagens company logo, etc.
Upon termination of the membership in Installatörsföretagen, any decals and information referring to membership in Installatörsföretagen on vehicles, letterheads, the website, etc. shall be removed.
How to terminate your membership
To begin your termination of membership, please do the following:
- Send an email to: medlem@in.se.
- Enter the follwing subject: Terminate membership.
- Please include your company’s Swedish Organization number in the email.
Your email will be handled by a membership administrator, who will verify that you are a member of Installatörsföretagen. The administrator will then get back to you.
- If you are a member, the withdrawal process will be initiated. You will receive a link by email where you will be asked to provide additional information and sign the form by an authorized company signatory.
- If you are not a member, you will receive a reply with guidance and a referral to the appropriate employers’ organization.
